Abstract
The statistical analysis of sea level data obtained at the MHS Taganrog during 2005–2014 is presented, including the basic statistical characteristics of the analyzed series and the linear trend coefficient are calculated. The comparative analysis of the obtained statistical indicators with the values of descriptive statistics during 1995 – 2004 is carried out. Conclusions on the tendency in the variability of data series are made. The characteristic of dangerous storms surges recorded near the MHS Taganrog in 2005 – 2014 is given. Evaluation of the linear trend of annual maximums of sea level was obtained, and the probability curve of maximum annual heights of sea level in Taganrog, exceeding the lowest annual maximum for the period 1995 – 2014, was calculated.
