Abstract
The article is devoted to problems of the informational support of the coastal research. The structure of a specialized database for the information support of the coastal research is presented and the content of its individual constituent databases is analyzed. Practical implementation of the proposed structure is demonstrated on a specialized database for the Karkinitsky Bay and the Bakalskaya Spit as an example. The contribution of the Crimean Coast website to disseminate research, as well as to draw attention of scientists and general public to current issues of the coastal zone, is shown. In view of the increased interest in studying of the current state of region under consideration, it was concluded that there is a need to continue activities for further updating databases and developing the Crimean Coast website.
