Abstract

The results of the natural and economic assessment system of the coast testing on the example of several sections of the Western Crimea coast are presented. The analysis showed that accumulative shores are the most dynamic and attackable. Herewith, the greatest natural threat to them is the increased wave impact or change in its direction, as well as sea level rise. The negative anthropogenic impact is most often revealed itself in the reduction of the sediment incoming at the accumulative form (due to its recovery or blocking of the longshore sediment flow). The recreational value of the shores depends equally on both physical and geographical, as well as on social and economic factors. Therein it may stand out the Bakalskaya spit, where a significant dynamics of the shore and the presence of natural hazards does not reduce the value of geo-ecological and recreation potential.
