Method of Control of Length Frequency of Mineral Suspension Particles Using Photographing Images Software Processing

Abstract

The developed method of control of length frequency of mineral suspension particles. The software operation algorithm for photographing images processing is given. The technique is described and the method of approbation results are shown. The developed method makes it possible to obtain the size composition of particles in the range 80 –1000 μm with a low error, which is a good result for an indirect method for determining the suspended matter parameters. The main advantage of this method in relation to the traditional is its ability to work under conditions of high dynamic water activity typical in the coastal zone.
