Investigation of Radionuclides Concentration Fields in the Black Sea by Numerical Simulation Methods on the Example of Beryllium-7 (7Be)

Abstract

A model describing the evolution and transformation of 7Be concentration field in the Black Sea waters is built. Based on the results of numerical experiments the spatiotemporal structure of 7 Be concentration field in the surface layer of the sea during the period from January to December 2012 is analyzed. It was revealed that in the surface layer the maximum of the 7Be concentration is observed in spring in the southeast part of the sea, the minimum – in summer in the western part of the sea.
