Abstract

The geographic information system (GIS), developed as system of monitoring of anthropogenic impact on the Crimen shelf, is described. GIS represents the specialized geographic system for visualization of oceanographic data intended for pollution distribution in the marine environment diagnostics, based on contact research methods and satellite images. The program has traditional for GIS functionality and problem-oriented oceanographic realization. The main development direction is realization of three-dimensional data processing algorithms with creation of vertical profiles and spatial distributions within a layer of waters. The structure of GIS includes the basic vector map consisting of 10 thematic layers, and the database of research results executed in frame of three surveys of 2015 on research vessel "Biruza" (Turquoise) around deep-water sewage outlet located on the Fiolent Cape.
