Abstract

Data on the distribution and composition of hydrocarbons (HCs) – aliphatic and polycyclic aromatic in surface waters in dissolved and suspended forms, and in bottom sediments were presented. It was found that increased concentrations of aliphatic hydrocarbons caused mainly by natural processes. It is confirmed by the composition of the hydrocarbons, in which natural homologues dominate. A comparison of the marginal filter of the rivers North Dvina (2011 – 2015), Ob (2007), Yenisey (2011) and Lena (2015) is realized. It is shown that petroleum hydrocarbons that are brought by rivers, settle in the area of river-sea, and do not pass into the open waters of the sea.
