Abstract

The processes of erosion and sedimentation of bottom sediments near the village of Nikolaevka, using a numerical model XBeach (eXtreme Beach behavior) is studied. The analysis of the characteristics of the redistribution of sand fractions underwater coastal slope is carried out. Changes in the morphology of the underwater coastal slopes composed of different fractional composition of sediments in different hydrodynamic conditions are shown. An important feature of the model was modified to use several sediment fractions, as well as changes in the boundaries of their separation on the profile. The simulation was performed for various parameters of the grid floor and wind waves. The source of energy for the process is a coastal storm surge. Direction of wind waves at all times taken the absence oriented along the profile. Modeling morphodynamics underwater coastal slope was conducted over a time interval of 24 hours. Studies have shown that the main morphodynamic processes are within 25 m of isobath limited to 2.5 m. The greatest changes of the underwater coastal slope were occurring under the influence of intense storm, when the interface of the material took place at a depth of 3 and 4 m.
