Abstract

Applying the simple model of the northwestern Black Sea shelf ecosystem the two-step method of marine ecosystems processes modeling is illustrated. On the first step, the water dynamics is calculated using the up-to-date numerical model. On the second step, on the base of the ecosystem model the local adjustment of ecosystem variables to each other is made taking into account the available estimates of advection and diffusion of substances. In this simulation advection and diffusion calculated by the hydrodynamic model are external forces relative to the reaction in the local volume of environment.
