Abstract
The results of ADCP-measurements of current velocity in coastal and shelf waters of the Gerakleysky Peninsula in summer and autumn 2015 are discussed. The data obtained near shelf are revealed the relatively small velocity values of mean currents, no more than 5 cm/c, and high level of vertical variability on scales more 20 m. Ratio of baroclinic component of the kinetic energy to the mean flux energy amounts is about 1,3. The characteristic features of vertical current distribution are saved till about 5 km scales horizontally. Vertical shears of current velocity averaged by the cast ensemble show monotonic decreasing with the depth. Vertical turbulence mixing coefficient evaluation fulfilled on the base of G89 parameterization demonstrates the presence of good evidence of minimum in the seasonal pycnocline layer; the parameter value increases more than an order of magnitude beyond of it.
