Abstract

The dynamics and structure of seawater in the northwest Black Sea in September, 2013 based on the data obtained during 76th cruise of R/V Professor Vodyanitsky are investigated. It is shown that hydrological measurements were made in the anomalously autumn cooling of surface water. The surface temperature was approximately on 1,5 – 2,5 °С below monthly average climatic norm. On depth of a cold intermediate layer the intensive cooling was not displayed, temperature in the core was on 0,25 – 0,5 °С above norm. It is shown that in survey period the measurements werecovered the northern periphery of the Sevastopol anticyclone. The Black Sea Rim Current on survey area is meandering and in process of advance on the west was unfolding in a southwest direction.
