Abstract

Concepts of ecological economics are applied to the problem of coastal resources management aimed on this zone sustainable development. It is shown that adaptive models of ecological-economic systems can serve as a tool for simulation of such management scenarios, which balancing economic efficiency of natural resources use and environmental protection activities. An adaptive system “shore – sea” is considered as an example to study ecological-economic aspect of the transfer of production at new technologies protecting environment from pollution. The conclusion about the usefulness of adaptive models to control coastal zone development is made in accordance with the principles of ecological economics.
